On New Year's Eve 1926 Kors Wesker premiered his masterpiece Nacht der Seele in Berlin. A day later, he, the film's star, Uta Blau, and the negative of the film vanished, never to be seen again.

Now, cinephile, Spencer Johnson thinks he's found the location of the missing masterpiece; the small seaside town of Southaven in England. But Southaven holds a secret Spencer couldn't have imagined. A secret hidden for over a century. A secret that doesn't want to be found.
